A teacher can simply use a note or a page for students to view or read information prior to class, or her/she can embed video or add text within the assignment or test feature for a more interactive experience. Check out the examples below.
1. EMBED VIDEO
In the example below, the teacher has embedded a video for the students to watch within a note in itslearning. The teacher has posted one question along with the video for the students to think about prior to the next class period.
2. STUDENT CHOICE
In the example below, this 4th grade teacher has given the students a choice of resources to view. She has also included a quick assignment to go along with the resources.
3. CHECK FOR UNDERSTANDING
Still another effective way to present a flipped lesson in this 2nd grade class is to use a test. By using the a test, the teacher can add questions or ask for a written response to the flipped lesson. This provides the teacher with key information for class the following day.
